About This Place

Welcome to Nucoconu, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Calle Sta. Clara. This charming restaurant has quickly made a name for itself with its innovative dishes and warm ambience. As a food reviewer for Menuverge, I am excited to introduce you to the unique flavors and exceptional service that await at Nucoconu.

From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a modern yet cozy decor that reflects the restaurant's commitment to quality and creativity. Nucoconu offers a focused menu that highlights the best of Mediterranean and seasonal produce, making each visit a new exploration of taste. Customers rave about the tuna tartare, described by one enthusiastic patron as the best they’ve ever had. This dish exemplifies the restaurant's commitment to freshness and flavor, beautifully combining prime ingredients in a harmonious presentation.

For those who prefer something heartier, the restaurant also serves standout options such as a succulent steak that has garnered praise from diners. The a la carte selections may be limited but allow for a delightful experience that is both easy to navigate and fill with surprises. I was particularly drawn to the unique twist on classic dishes, such as the hummus made with beetroot, providing a vibrant visual and flavor profile that excites the palate.

The attention to detail extends beyond the food. Guests have expressed appreciation for the friendly and attentive service provided by the staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re indulging in their reasonable €12.50 menu de día or savoring a creative dessert like the not-too-sweet coconut cheesecake, the vibe at Nucoconu is one of satisfaction and contentment.

Every bite here tells a story, whether it's the robust flavors of the ceviche or the enticing pad Thai. Diners frequently comment on the creativity behind the dishes, with many eager to return for another experience. It's clear that Nucoconu is not just a restaurant, but a destination for food lovers seeking quality meals in an inviting atmosphere.

Excellent food (the best tuna tartare I've ever had; my wife had a great steak), friendly service, very reasonable prices. Not at all busy despite the great food.

Delicioso! We had the Tuna Tartar and the Pan de Tirol! Muy rico! We‘ll be back!

New Restaurant in the Toscal area of Santa Cruz which I though I would try! The do have a daily menu that seems pretty reasonable at 15euros but it didn’t take my fancy so I opted for a la carte .. Actually the menu is not large so it’s an easy read . I really felt in the mood for something original which they do have but it includes meat which I really don’t do.. In the end though I went for something pretty unoriginal except that their hummus is with beetroot and tasty ! The pudding a coconut cheese cake style is more flanish and luckily not too sweet ! The discovery though was a rather fruity wine not that was not sweet from the lacasmi cooperative , really decent ! The service excellent by a very attentive waitress . I think the owner or manager also serves but she didn’t approach my table so not sure . Price reasonable and the decor very neat modern and you can see the kitchen

Are there twice, once at lunchtime on their €12.50 menu de dia which was three courses including beer or water, and once in the evening (prices don’t include IGC which is slightly annoying compared to all the other places we ate). Lunch was good, as was the evening meal. The food on the evening meal seemed to be more intended for sharing than as an individual dish, which is fair enough.

We very much enjoyed our dinner here. We had the ceviche and cocopina to start and then salmon tartar and pad Thai for main. Everything was creative, fresh and delicious!

An elegant restaurant with high quality food and great prices. We went to Nucoconu on Saturday night. The restaurant is delightful inside, and the staff were superb. We had some bread with hummus to share, I had the braised Iberian cheeks on mash, and Karen had the fish (consisting of fish and a very large prawn on a bed of mash). We had a bottle of Pontellon to accompany it (recommendation of the waitress). The food was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming, and the bill came to €66.5 - very very reasonable prices for the quality of the food and service. Note the menus are only in Spanish but their web site has the dishes in English. Everyone there seemed to be having a lovely time. We certainly did.

Hidden gem. Only use organic ingredients, no white sugar or fried food, but at the same time they manage for their food to taste amazingly - even for non vegan or health food lovers! Great service, lovely interior design and just simply a perfect place to eat.
